Director of Business Development

Job Description:

Director will have opportunity to participate in the strategic planning and manage sales team with growth targets. Business development will include partnering with leadership to develop new verticals of business in target markets with respect to the annual strategic plan. This role will include reaching out to new partners, managing a marketing plan, expanding database with sponsorships and networking opportunities. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the leadership team for a fast growing company with close communication and service to clients as priority. This role will manage the recruiting, training, development, and continued support to sales team. Ideal candidate has previous knowledge of financial markets and commercial real estate industry. Role will be responsible for implementing and managing a sales and business development process. A strong interest or ability to learn quickly will be considered as well. Ideal candidate possesses a mastery of rapport with prospective clients and comfortable working via phone with clients all over the US. Team leader will manage client engagements throughout the sales process keeping track of team and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, continued education in finance a plus
  • 10 years+ experience in capital markets, real estate, banking, financial services or other relevant roles held in a business to business services organization
  • Knowledgeable on commercial real estate loans and financing options
  • Experience cold calling and comfortable on phone
  • Experience in business development role
  • Able to execute marketing strategy
  • Experience in managerial role with team of sales professionals to monitor and lead
  • Experience recruiting, training, and leading teams of sales professionals
  • Articulate communication skills and the ability to lead and develop key talent on the sales team
  • Forward thinker and quick to action: looking for individual who thinks strategically and can execute efficiently
